Our nursery is available for infants through 3 years old for all weekly, revival, and special services. Infants are cared for by a loving staff in a well supplied nursery. Toddlers stay in the same room where they are well supervised with access to age-appropriate toys and books. 3 year-olds also meet in the nursery building. They have a more structured program where they receive a Bible lesson but enjoy puzzles, singing, and coloring.
Parents are responsible to provide diapers and/or needed items for their children during their time in the nursery. Parents will be assigned a number when they drop off their child. Should a parent be needed in the nursery during the service, their number will be displayed in red above the door on the left side in the front of the sanctuary. We provide a safe and clean environment so visitors and members alike can enjoy peace of mind during their time in the church service.

Children’s church teaches children, ages 4 through 4th grade, how to conduct themselves in a church service. They enjoy a scripture lesson on their level, sing hymns and Bible songs, and participate in various other activities. Children’s Church meets Sundays during the morning and evening services. Special programs are also offered during revival meetings and conferences as well as during the summer.
Meeting Time: Wednesdays 6:45-8:30pm
Our AWANA program runs concurrently with our school year. This program for ages 2 through 6th grade features Bible memorization, singing, organized games, and much more. First Baptist seeks to help children build a love for learning and memorizing God’s Word.
Good News Clubs
This exciting ministry allows First Baptist to reach out to the community through our local public schools. Currently, we minister in two local area schools. From October through April, Good News Club meets weekly after school. The children are taught foundational truths from scripture, along with games, songs, and memory verses. Mrs. Denise Peterson heads up this ministry of dedicated volunteers with a passion for reaching children with the gospel.
Vacation Bible School
Our VBS is the highlight of the year in our children's ministries. We welcome all children ages 4 through 12th grade. This week-long themed event usually occurs in June and runs from 9:00am to noon Monday through Friday. Friday culminates in an evening program open to the entire family. Please check our Calendar
for exact dates.
Each day the children learn vital Bible truths, memorize scripture, sing praises to God, play games, eat snacks, play on bouncers, and make cool crafts.
Land O' Lakes Christian School
Land O’ Lakes Christian School is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Land O’ Lakes for children ages 3 to 12th grade. Our educational philosophy is based upon the Word of God. The Bible is the integrating and unifying principle for our entire program. God is at the center of every subject taught. The entire staff is born again and holds the view that "in all things He must have the preeminence." Every part of the curriculum is interpreted and applied from a Christ-centered, biblical perspective. We are uniquely fitted to assist parents in fulfilling the God-given responsibility of Christian education. The Bible, the one text through which all others must be viewed, is the center of the curriculum at Land O’ Lakes Christian School. We teach that there is perfection in all that God has done. LOLCS studies language, literature, art, history, math, and science as it has influenced human history.
Our school offers:
* A dedicated Christian-staff who is concerned with helping your child develop Godly character and spiritual maturity.
* A Christian environment with an emphasis on character, respect for authority, and citizenship.
* An excellent academic program with proven results in achievement.
* Low student to teacher ratio with individualized attention and instruction.
