Statement of Faith of Land O Lakes Christian School

A. The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the written record of His supernatural revelation of Himself to man, absolute in its authority, complete in its revelation, final in its content, and without error in its statements. The sixty six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelations of God to man. The Authorized King James Version of the Bible shall be the official and only translation used by and in the school and its ministries.

B. The Godhead
We believe there is one God, eternally existent, creator of the heaven and earth, who exists in three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each co eternal in being, co identical in nature, co equal in power and having the same attributes and perfections.

C. The Person and Work of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God, who became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man.

D. The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
1. We believe the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the supernatural agent in regeneration and baptizing all believers into the body of Christ. The baptism of the Holy Spirit takes place at the moment a person receives Christ as Savior and is the act of placing the believer into the body of Christ. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a second work of grace, nor is it manifested by unusual signs such as speaking in tongues. The moment a person receives Christ as his Savior, immediately the Holy Spirit indwells that person and he is sealed until the day of redemption.

2. We believe that the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and the gift of healing, were temporary and ceased upon the completion of God's Word at the book of Revelation.

E. Salvation
1. We believe man is saved by undeserved mercy through faith, and nothing of man enters into his salvation it is a free gift. Man's efforts, regardless of how good or well intended, before or after salvation, have nothing to do with it.

2. We believe God is absolutely sovereign and in His sovereignty gave man a free will to accept or reject the salvation that He has provided. It is God's will that all would be saved and that none should perish. God foreknows, but does not predetermine any man to be condemned. God permits man's destiny to depend upon man's choice.

F. The Eternal Security of Believers
We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever; they possess eternal life and are therefore secure for all eternity; being justified by faith, sanctified by God, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, they cannot lose their salvation.

G. The Second Advent of Christ
We believe in the personal, imminent return of Christ who will rapture His church prior to the seven year tribulation period. This return will be in the air and Christ will be returning FOR His saints. At the end of the tribulation, Christ will visibly and bodily return WITH His saints to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom, which was promised to the nation of Israel.

H. Creation
We believe that God created the universe in six literal days (24 hour periods). We reject evolution and theistic evolution as unscriptural theories of origin.
