What does the Student Comprehensive Fee include?

The student comprehensive fee is to be paid no later than August 1. This fee covers the cost of most books and supplies, lab fees, testing materials and scoring, and the school yearbook. This fee is non-refundable after the beginning of the school year.

Does Land O' Lakes Christian have a dress code?

What version of the Bible is used?

At Land O' Lakes Christian School, we use the King James version.

What type of Curriculum do we use?

Land O' Lakes Christian School has a strong academic program and a dedicated faculty. ABeka Book and Bob Jones University Press are the primary curriculum used in grades 7-12.

What age can my student start Kindergarten-5 or Kindergarten-4?

For the 2009-2010 school year the minimum age for enrollment in Kindergarten-5 is five years on or before September 1st, and for Kindergarten-4 it is four years on or before August 15th.

How early may I drop off my student?

7:00 a.m. with our new Before School Care program.

How late may I pick up my student?

6:00 p.m. with our After School Care program.

How long is the school day?

All students begin their school day at 8:30 a.m. K4 and K5 students end their day at 12:30 p.m. KE through 12th grade students end their day at 3:20 p.m.

Do we run buses?

Land O' Lakes Christian school operates three buses, however, they are only used to transport students to school sports events and field trips.

Does LOLCS have a before and after school program?

Yes. We offer extended care programs for students who need to arrive early or stay after school. Before School Care runs from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. Extended care begins immediately after school and ends at 5:30 p.m. During this time students are given a snack and participate in a variety of fun activities.

What documents do I need to enroll my child?

You will need to provide a copy of your student’s immunization record, social security card, and birth certificate. Secondary students will also need a copy of their most recent report card or transcript.

What is the mission of Land O' Lakes Christian School?

The school is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Land O' Lakes. Therefore, the school takes a fundamental position in its beliefs regarding the Word of God and separation from the lack of standards and morality of the world. As Christian leaders of the students, the faculty at Land O' Lakes Christian School must be qualified both spiritually and academically. Our purpose is to train young people in a wholesome environment so that they have the opportunity to meet their fullest potential under the direction of a Christian faculty, staff, and administration.

What are the lunch options?

This year we are offering hot lunches from local restaurants. Hungry Harry's will be offering hamburgers, BBQ pork sandwiches, and a baked potato and salad bar. Chick-Fil-A offers chicken nuggets or chicken sandwiches.

Do you offer foreign language instruction?

Yes, we offer Spanish to senior high students.

How much computer use is offered to students?

Our new and improved computer lab is used by students of all grades. Please see Technology for more information.

What is the Kindergarten Enrichment (KE) program?

The Kindergarten Enrichment program extends the school day from 12:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. by providing time for the students to play, complete crafts, and supplement the learning of the morning.
