Why Choose Land O' Lakes Christian School?

piritually, we establish a Christian philosophy throughout the school. We teach students that they are created by God, and that each one is personally responsible to Him. At Land O' Lakes Christian School a consistent form of Biblical discipline is maintained, discipline being a form of love. Students are taught respect for authority to parents, pastors, and teachers. We also spiritually reinforce the values taught at home since a child needs the cooperative efforts of the school, the church, and the home to nurture him and help him develop to his maximum potential.

cademically, we teach every subject from a distinctively Christian viewpoint, the Bible being the integrating factor around which all other subject matter is arranged, and which provides the criterion by which all other subject matter is judged. We set high standards for our students, believing that structured classrooms and good discipline are conducive to learning. Land O' Lakes Christian School teaches the "three R's" with a strong foundation in phonics and mathematics on the elementary level. Our junior and senior high school programs offer college-preparatory courses designed to assist each student to meet his future goals.

Land O' Lakes Christian School is accredited (K4 through 12th grade) by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), which is recognized by the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and the Florida Department of Education (FDOE).

ocially, we encourage Christ-honoring fellowship and friendship. The environment at Land O' Lakes Christian School is wholesome; we would not allow your child to be exposed to anything that is questionable. We are a patriotic school, knowing that God's grace has indeed been shed upon our land, and that He is sovereign over all its affairs.

indergarten (K-4)
Four-year-old kindergarten offers an outstanding opportunity to lay a strong spiritual, academic, and social foundation for your child. Great emphasis is placed on Biblical values and character development incorporated into the daily teaching of phonics, numbers, handwriting, and reading. The mastery of developmental and social skills prepares the children well for future learning.

indergarten (K-5)
Five-year-old kindergarten allows students to advance rapidly with intensive phonics, reading, mathematics, and handwriting. Daily lessons from the Word of God come alive when truth is learned and applied. Music, art, and poetry round out the curriculum, allowing for self-expression in a variety of ways. Our teachers desire to make learning not only beneficial but also enjoyable.

lementary School
In grades one through six, each child receives a well-rounded education in many subjects. Well-trained teachers, traditional classroom settings, low student-teacher ratio, and a curriculum continuum all work together in providing each child the opportunity to excel. The core subjects of reading, grammar, spelling, mathematics, science, history, geography, penmanship, and physical education are supplemented by a fine music program, regional fine arts competitions and spelling bees, to provide a well-rounded education for each child.

unior High School
The middle grades are a transitional time for maturing students. Students proceed onto higher levels of learning in each of the core subjects. Students have the opportunity to represent our school in regional competitions in the areas of speech, drama, writing, poetry, and visual art, providing them with invaluable opportunities for expressing their unique talents. Students may desire to join a sports team to acquire valuable competitive skill and sportsmanship that seek to give glory to God.

enior High School
The senior high school offers a high-quality college preparatory curriculum based upon Biblical principles. With an eye toward the future, students have the opportunity to refine their learning in the academic disciplines and begin to identify particular talents and areas of interest to prepare for continuing their education beyond high school. Students are also given the tools and training needed to allow them to serve the Lord in their local church ministry.
